<p>Did you know that EQ – emotional intelligence is known to be more important than IQ? There have been many studies that show IQ only accounts for about 20% of success.</p>
<p>The ability to be aware of, control, regulate, express your feelings and have empathy for others, are all forms of emotional intelligence.</p>
<p>When people are not able to manage their emotions they either react to situations or they avoid their emotions and suppress them.  People use various ways to avoid and distract themselves from their feelings such as getting busy, working more, using substances like alcohol or eating and other behaviours. This can lead to addictions, depression and anxiety.</p>

<p>The reason I say this is because when people have no awareness of their thoughts and feelings they are in automatic mode and just react to situations. They are like a leaf blowing in the wind because whichever way the wind blows it takes them that way. When people become awakened and conscious they can take control of their mind and create peace and happiness in their life.</p>
<p>Did you know that most people utilize less than 10% of their mind? Our mind is the most powerful tool we own. People are not utilizing parts of their mind and therefore limiting themselves in being, doing or having what they want.</p>
<h3>Parts of the mind</h3>

<li>The conscious mind operates from our five senses</li>
<li>The subconscious mind is in charge of recent memories which holds behavior patterns, reoccurring thoughts, habits and feelings</li>
<li>The unconscious mind is the storehouse of all long term memories, and past experiences from birth</li>
